Batesburg-Leesville, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department has now released photographs of the man they believed robbed a convenience store at gunpoint on Augusta Highway near Batesburg-Leesville early Saturday. They say that he struck another store earlier before holding up the one near Windy Road and Augusta Highway across from Oswald Lumber before daybreak.
In the store’s video, it shows him wearing a dust mask across his face. He has a small handgun in his right hand and a hooded black jacket on. It has a light blue design across the front, and he appears as if he has a white, long-sleeve t-shirt on.
The investigators are urging the public to look at the pictures closely. If you recognize the man or know where he might be, please call Detective Carvajal at 803-730-7676 or CrimeStoppers at www.midlandscrimestoppers.com. You can also make tips at 1-888-CRIME SC.
