West Columbia police asking for help in armed robbery investigation

West Columbia, S.C. – The West Columbia Police Department is asking the community for help to identify the suspect in the attached video clip.

On July 14, 2019, the Walgreens at 1537 Charleston Highway in West Columbia was the robbed at gunpoint. Police say the suspect entered the store armed with a gun and demanded money from the register. He then fled the scene.

The armed robbery suspect is described as a black male in his late twenties or early thirties with a thin build. He is approximately 6’2” tall. Police say he was wearing a black shirt with a design on the front, a dark hat, dark pants and rectangular style reading glasses. The suspect is believed to be driving a dark color Chrysler sedan.
