Chapin Police Department looking to identify shoplifting suspect

Chapin, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Chapin Police Department is asking the community for help in identifying a man that was caught on camera shoplifting in a store in the town. The man brazenly takes an item from the store’s shelf and stuffs it in his pants.

The man appears to be African American, has a slim build, and a shaved head. In the video, he has tan or brown slacks on and a white golf style shirt. He looks as if he’s wearing tan or brown shoes.

If you recognize this man, leave a message on the police department’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ChapinPoliceDepartment. You can also leave a voicemail for First Sergeant Frick at (803) 575-8049.
