Lexington officer trying to identify person who tampered with cars

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) - The Lexington Police Department needs the community to assist them in identifying an individual who was involved in an auto tampering case that happened recently. They’re hoping you recognize the young man and can help them locate him for questioning.

The suspect is a young black male with a dark complexion. In the video you can see he’s wearing a bright blue top that could be athletic wear. He also appears to be wearing a Nike bookbag that is black and has a very noticeable Nike trademark swoosh on its shoulder strap. Once again, this is a crime where he went into a car looking for something a value to take.

If you recognize this young man, please notify Detective Voravundi at (803) 358-1514. Your help is greatly appreciated.
