Woman wanted for questioning after Wal-Mart employee assaulted

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – A woman is wanted for questioning by Lexington Police Department investigators after she is believed to have assaulted an employee of Wal-Mart. She was approached after an employee noticed she had items she hadn’t paid for in her buggy when she attempted to leave the store.

Police say that on September 16, 2019, an employee at Walmart approached the unknown woman in the self-checkout area. They had noticed she was not scanning all the items she had in her cart. An argument began and the woman assaulted the Wal-Mart employee before leaving the store.

The woman appears to be a black female who was either wearing a white tube or tank top. It looks as if she has on black short shorts and has a sweater, shirt, or jacket tied around her waist. She had her hair pulled together into a bun on the top of her head at the time of the incident.

If you know who she is, please call Detective Corporal Currier at 803-359-2067.
