Coroner Margaret Fisher identifies victim of motorcycle accident

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the motorcyclist who died as a result of an accident that occurred in the 960 block of Two Notch Road near Lexington at approximately 11:35 a.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2019. According to Coroner Fisher, Dallas Ashton Kalin, 23, of Lexington was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at the Lexington Medical Center as a result of multiple traumatic injuries. Kalin was wearing a helmet when the accident occurred.

Fisher said that Kalin was traveling west on Two Notch when an oncoming truck turned left in front of him. Kalin’s motorcycle collided with the truck gravely injuring him

Fisher said that the driver of the truck was not injured in the crash. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
