State troopers looking for tractor trailer truck involved in weekend hit and run

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – The SC Highway Patrol is hoping someone may have spotted the truck that struck and killed a motorcyclist over the weekend on I-20 near the 63-mile marker. According to Senior Trooper David Jones, they are looking for an unknown brand and color of truck that was pulling a white or silver box trailer.

According to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher, the motorcyclist dropped his bike on I-20 around 9:45 p.m. Saturday. Before he or someone else could get him out the interstate, a truck struck and killed him and kept going.

Trooper Jones said if you have any idea who may have done this, please contact the SC Highway Patrol at 1(800) 768-1501. You can also make tips through CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-888-CRIME SC. You may also make tips through CRIMESTOPPERS’ website at midlandscrimestoppers.com.
