Batesburg-Leesville, S.C. (October 12, 2019) – Batesburg-Leesville Police Department, along with State Law Enforcement Division and Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, are investigating a double homicide that occurred Friday night.
At approximately 9:15 pm Batesburg-Leesville Police Department responded to a residence after someone called and reported someone had been shot. When the officers arrived, they observed two victims who had suffered apparent gunshot wounds. EMS and firefighters responded to the scene, however both victims were pronounced dead at the scene and the Coroner’s office was notified.
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has now identified the two victims. Fisher said that one was Richard DeQuincy Broadwater, age 26, and the other was Daniel Nathanial Robinson, age 33.
Chief Wallace Oswald of the Batesburg-Leesville Police Department thinks someone has information that could help them solve this crime.
