Deputies trying to locate trailer taken from Gilbert event venue
Gilbert, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is hoping that someone in the public may recognize two men who are suspects in the theft of a trailer. Inside the trailer were folding mahogany chairs that are used during special functions at an event venue near Gilbert.
The photos of the truck the men were driving are very clear. It’s an older model Chevrolet long-bed with a two-tone paint job. It has an extended cab and appears to be a heavy-duty model like a 2500 or 3500. The lightest color on the truck is on the top and appears to be white. The second color starts lower on the truck, extends its entire length, and even goes around the wheel wells. That darker color may be gold.
The trailer the pair took is a white, fully enclosed, single axle tag along style trailer. It appears to have a door on its right side in front of the axle. All the folding chairs were inside of it.
The pictures show very little of the two men. You can see some of their clothes, a part of a hat, and the faded jeans they are wearing. It does appear that at least one was a Caucasian or light skinned Hispanic. That man has a stocky build as well.
If you have any idea who these men are or where deputies can find this pickup truck, or the trailer, please call the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at (803) 785-8230.
