Family displaced after mobile home fire in Red Bank Tuesday

Red Bank, SC (Paul Kirby) – A family was displaced after their mobile home caught fire and burned on Vonda Drive in Red Bank Tuesday morning. The fire was reported to the fire service at approximately 8:50 a.m. When the first firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke pushing out of the home.

Firefighters arrived quickly and attacked the fire aggressively. They quickly knocked it down. The had Dominion Energy come and disconnect the home’s power. They also contacted the American Red Cross to assist the displaced family in their recovery effort.

The Lexington County Fire Service has not said what started the fire. That determination may take some time. They have not completed the estimate of financial loss either.
