Suicidal person causes community concern in Red Bank Tuesday night

Red Bank, SC (Paul Kirby) – A subject threatening suicide caused a great deal of concern in the Red Bank area of Lexington County Tuesday night. Many grew worried after seeing Brown Boulevard near the Village Store (7-Eleven) off Platt Springs closed by law enforcement. Callers to The Ledger also described what they said was a SWAT style team and an ambulance standing by at Radius White Knoll church’s parking lot.

Captain Adam Myrick, spokesman for the sheriff’s department, said late Tuesday that their Crisis Negotiations Team were able to persuade the man to come outside. Myrick said that he was transported to a local medical facility for a mental evaluation.
