Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) Selects Magnus to Develop 500 Acres of Commercial and Industrial

West Columbia, SC - Magnus Development Partners has been chosen as the Master Developer for property surrounding the Columbia Metropolitan Airport. According to the developer, Magnus will work with CAE to determine the highest and best use for each property and create development plans for the available land parcels. Each parcel offers unique features based on its size, configuration, location, and zoning therefore catering to different business and project needs.

The strategic location of the property brings the potential for many types of developments. These include industrial, aviation, flex, hotel and commercial developments. The property also has the advantage of being in close proximity to both I-26 and I-77, providing easy access for transporting goods and services. “Airports throughout the country continue to provide an economic catalyst to create new development throughout the region,” said Kevin Werner, a partner with Magnus Development. “CAE’s continued growth, coupled with its strategic location in the Midlands, will help us develop new projects to expand the local tax base and create new jobs for the region”.

Magnus’ experience developing and constructing new class “A” buildings, allows them to be confident they will secure a mix of tenants and owners that will reshape the Airport Boulevard and Edmund Highway (Hwy 302) corridor. “For decades, this has been the region’s most underutilized corridor”, added Mike Gula, CAE Executive Director. “We look forward to working with Magnus to develop a strategic plan that will allow this submarket to flourish by attracting a broad range of new businesses”.
