Chapin, SC (Paul Kirby) – We Care of Chapin had a banner day during Tuesday’s MIDLANDS GIVES event. MIDLANDS GIVES is a one-day opportunity for people to come together and give to the non-profit of their choice. This can all be done on-line.

This year, the event was held on Tuesday, May 5th. During the day, a total of $3.3 million dollars was given to more than 409 charities that participated. We Care ranked 15th in donations of the total organizations involved.

According to their website of Chapin We Care at www.chapinwecare.org, Chapin We Care was established in 1986 to work with families and individuals in the Chapin community facing emergencies in their basic living needs. They now serve as an outreach ministry for churches in the Chapin, Little Mountain, Prosperity, Pomaria, Peak, and the White Rock communities.
