Dixiana, SC (Paul Kirby) – Sheriff’s deputies quickly arrested a suspect who stabbed someone on Lorick Village Road off Gardners Terrace Road Sunday. Gardners Terrace runs parallel to Charleston Highway until it crosses Hwy. 321 south closer to Gaston.
An ambulance with Lexington County EMS and first responders from the fire service responded and waited nearby until deputies arrived and ensured the scene was secure for them to approach. No one has released the condition of the stabbing victim.
According to Captain Adam Myrick, spokesman for the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, a suspect was taken into custody and has been charged with first degree assault and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. That individual was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center and is awaiting a bond hearing.
