Lexington County Sheriff’s Department sergeant and investigator named SC Sheriff’s Association Deput

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) - Last year, Timothy Jones Jr. of Lexington was convicted of murder for killing his five children.Sergeant Adam Creech of the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department was the lead investigator on the case. This week, he was recognized by the SC Sheriff’s Association for his work on that case. That association named Sergeant Creech their Deputy of the Year.

Eleventh Circuit Solicitor Rick Hubbard said after the award was announced, “When it comes to who’s the officer of the year, for me it’s a no brainer, it’s Adam, Adam Creech. Hubbard went on to say, “He made a very difficult case much easier for us.”

Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said that Creech was always very professional, very detail oriented, “and just represents this and all of law enforcement in a great way.”

The sheriff’s department’s Public Information Office has produced a video about Creech that details the contributions he made to that case and the citizens of Lexington County. Here is that video:
