Coroner identifies victim from Wednesday’s fatal crash on Highway 321 South near Farmers Market

Dixianna, SC (Diana Nation) - Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died in a motor vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 1:45 p.m. on December 23, 2020 in the 3400 block of Highway 321 South, Near the South Carolina State Farmers Market.

According to Coroner Fisher, Foster H. Yarborough Jr., 73, of Columbia was traveling northbound when an oncoming vehicle lost control, crossed through the median, collided head-on with him. Yarborough, who was wearing a seat belt when the collision occurred, was pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple traumatic injuries.

The incident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
