Deputies searching for missing woman off Pond Branch Road near Kiesler’s Crossroads

Pond Branch, SC 08/02/2021 (Paul Kirby) – Deputies from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department are being assisted by public safety personnel from partner agencies as they search a wooded area off Pond Branch Road in Southern Lexington County for a missing woman. They are currently searching an area of the Pond Branch community that lies between Boling Springs Road and Calks Ferry Road.

According to Captain Adam Myrick of the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, deputies have found the black Dodge pickup truck that Deborah Peeples, 68, was last seen on driving on Chapin Road Sunday at about 6:30 p.m. At that time, it was believed that Peeples was headed to her home on Raymond Finch Drive in Prosperity, SC. Since that sighting, deputies have been looking for the missing woman in hopes that she is okay.

Myrick said that they have been interviewing neighbors in the area that the truck was located as they search. They hope that perhaps someone has seen Peeples and can help them with a useful tip. If you know anything about this missing persons case, they ask that you contact them at (803) 785-8230.
