Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher identifies decedent in Saturday morning rollover collision

Leesville, SC (05/30/2021 Paul Kirby) - Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the decedent in a Saturday morning rollover collision that occurred near Leesville. According to the SCHP, the single-vehicle wreck happened at about 12:05 a.m. on Brodie Road near Yorkshire Court.

Coroner Fisher said Saturday that Nicholus Maurice Brown, 44, of Leesville died as a result of injuries he received in the collision. She also said that Brown did not have a seatbelt on at the time that his vehicle crashed.


Master Trooper Brian Lee of the SCHP Said that Brown was driving a GMC Yukon on Brodie Road when he ran off the side of the road, lost control, struck an embankment, hit a tree, and he was then ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead there at the scene.
