Lexington detectives looking for woman who they believed tried to cash a stolen check

Lexington, SC 01/04/2023 (Paul Kirby) – Detectives with the Lexington Police Department are asking the publics' for their assistance in identifying a woman they believe tried to pass a fraudulent check in Lee County. According to the police, this happened on November 18, 2022.


According to officers, the woman tried to use a SC State driver's license and debit card as identification to pass the check. It has since been confirmed that these were stolen earlier in the year in the Town of Lexington. At the time that the woman tried to do this, she was driving a white 4-door Nissan sedan.
