Lexington, SC 05/01/2024 (Paul Kirby) - The Lexington Police Department needs the public’s help to identify a woman who allegedly shoplifted some books from Books-A-Million on North Lake Drive in Lexington. In total, police believe she stole over $400s worth of merchandise without ever bothering to go through a register and pay. This happened on February 26, 2024.

Please look at the woman’s photo closely from the stores surveillance system. If you recognize her, or have any information about her, please contact Detective Davis at 803-358-7271 or by email at tdavis@lexsc.com.

If you would like to remain anonymous, contact Midlands Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or www.midlandscrimestoppers.com.  They also have a P3 tips app that’s FREE in most app stores. You could be eligible for a cash reward if your tip leads to an arrest and conviction.
