Batesburg-Leesville, SC 04/22/2022 (Paul Kirby) – Local government officials along with staff from the S.C. Geodetic Survey office have scheduled a public meeting to discuss efforts to clarify the boundaries between Lexington and Saluda counties. This meeting will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Batesburg-Leesville Town Hall. That is located at 120 W. Church Street, Suite B, in Batesburg-Leesville, SC.
The SCGS is committed to determining accurately the location of the boundary between the two counties as defined in South Carolina law. They will also eventually mark the boundary with the necessary monuments and reference those markers to geographic coordinates to better preserve the integrity and accuracy of the boundary.
