SUV hits home and then flees the scene, law enforcement seeking tips

Red Bank, SC 11/08/2021 (Paul Kirby) – On Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at about 4:40 p.m., a full-size SUV struck a mobile home near the intersection of Bluefield and Old Orangeburg Roads in the Red Bank area of the county. The driver hit the home and took off without speaking to anyone. Luckily, the vehicle was caught on a nearby surveillance camera and the property owner is now sharing that with the public.

Please look at the attached picture closely. It shows the vehicle as it hits the home. The vehicle is obviously a full-size SUV and may be a Chevrolet of GMC. It has extensive front end and passenger side damage to it. If you recognize this vehicle, the owner of the property would like you to help bring the driver to justice.


Both the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and the SCHP took a report on this crash. If you know anything about this vehicle or its driver, please notify those agencies with your tip.
