Cayce, SC (Paul Kirby) Two medium box trucks were destroyed by fire at the US Postal hub on Dixiana Drive in the Cayce area Saturday night. According to Chief Byron Snellgrove of the Cayce Department of Public Safety, both trucks were a total loss as a result of the fire.

The call was received just after 9:00 p.m. When the first Cayce fire units arrived, they found the two trucks well involved. Snellgrove said that his department believed that a positive battery cable that was faulty on one of the trucks started the original fire. It then spread to the second truck.

The US Postal Service has not released any statement regarding the fire.
