Lexington, SC – Chief Terrence Green would like to invite the Town of Lexington community to the Lexington Square Park for the annual National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2016.

In preparation for this year’s event, the Lexington Police Department has developed key partnerships to enhance and support the National Night Out event with Top Dogs serving specialty gourmet hot dogs, Kona Ice, Emerald Artistry Face Painting, Inflatables Zone, Target, Nintendo, South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission, Heroes In Blue, Midlands Fatherhood Coalition, Breezer Mobile Cooling, and Lexington County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) .

This event is free of charge and families who attend can enjoy dinner and the festivities through the evening. Lexington Square Park is located at 205 East Main Street in Lexington and this event will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.

National Night Out is an annual community building campaign that promotes positive law enforcement and neighborhood relations along with a crime prevention component.

Those attending the event are encouraged to park at the Lexington County Courthouse and Administration building parking lots which can be accessed from East Main Street and South Lake Drive.
