Setzler Statement on Passing of John Drummond

WEST COLUMBIA, SC - South Carolina Senator Nikki Setzler on Sunday released the following statement in response to the death of former State Senator John Drummond, who spent four decades representing the area around Greenwood and served as Senate majority leader in the late 1990s: “It was my privilege to serve in the Senate with John Drummond. He was a true American hero of World War II who dedicated his life to serving his nation, his state and the people of Greenwood County. He was a statesman in every sense of the word who put his God, his family and his country above all else. Rest in peace, my dear friend.”
