Lexington County Solid Waste to reopen collection centers Sunday. Lexington County Library branches

Lexington County Solid Waste Management Collection & Recycling Centers will remain closed through Saturday Waste Management of Columbia Hauling division closure.
The County’s Edmund Landfill will also be closed on Saturday, due to Hurricane Matthew’s forecasted effects in Lexington County. Waste Management Inc.’s landfill will also be closed, which is the facility the County of Lexington utilizes to dispose of household waste.
The County’s Collection & Recycling Centers will reopen two hours early on Sunday, October 9. The Centers will be open from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Additionally, all Lexington County Library branches will remain closed Saturday. They will resume normal business hours on Sunday.
County of Lexington Emergency Management Division officials are continuing to monitor Hurricane Matthew as well as support State operations as it approaches the South Carolina coast.
