Lexington County Corner Identifies two killed in Double Fatality on St. Andrews Road

Lexington, SC - Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the two people that died after being involved in an accident involving a motorcycle and a vehicle on October 08, 2016 at approximately 7:00 P.M. at the intersection of St.
Andrews Road and Jamil Road in Lexington County.
Coroner Margaret Fisher states that Matthew William Foster, 30, of Columbia and Monira Mae Baylock, 19, also of Columbia were killed when the motorcycle they were riding struck another vehicle. Mr. Foster and Ms. Baylock both died at the scene from the injuries they sustained in the accident. Neither was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured but a passenger in the vehicle was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Autopsies performed on October 09, 2016 showed that Mr. Foster and Ms. Baylock died of blunt force trauma to the head and chest.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
