FREE FATHERHOOD SESSIONS AND ASSISTANCE
Lexington, SC, October 11, 2016– The Midlands Fatherhood Coalition of Lexington (MFCL) is currently in open enrollment and accepting volunteer participants to engage in fatherhood peer group sessions and receive help and assistance with parenting, relationship, economic, legal, employment, and health issues.
The Midlands Fatherhood Coalition (MFC) is the only non-profit with more than ten years of experience in the Midlands whose sole mission is to help fathers overcome the barriers to being a responsible and involved father. The MFC is located in Aiken, Winnsboro, Lexington and Columbia, South Carolina but also serves fathers from Kershaw, Newberry, Saluda, Aiken, Orangeburg and Calhoun counties as well.
Charles Brown, Assistant Director of the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition, stated that “our mission is to engage fathers in the positive support of their children, and to enhance community support for fatherhood throughout the Midlands. Our purpose is to strengthen families and reduce poverty through father engagement and involvement.”
