District Five announces November 7 will be a Student Make-Up Day

IRMO, SC - Due to the closure of schools in response to Hurricane Matthew, students missed three days of instruction. The District responded quickly and adjusted the school calendar so that October 10th was changed from a teacher work day to a regular school day, making up one missed instructional day.

November 7th is the next scheduled teacher work day and staff development day. It will also be changed to a regular school day, making up a second instructional day.

The decision to make up the missed school days this semester provides the least disruption to instruction and the most flexibility should the District experience additional school closures. Decisions concerning the use of any additional make-up days will be made in response to future inclement weather closures.
