Pine Ridge man barricades himself in a home when deputies try to serve a warrant

Pine Ridge, SC – A man barricaded himself in a home when Lexington County deputies tried to serve him with an arrest warrant Thursday afternoon. He was inside the home in the Pine Ridge Mobile Home Park between Pine Ridge and Gaston, off Fish Hatchery Road.

According to Captain Adam Myrick of the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, deputies had surrounded the home, but the man refused to come out. The SWAT team was dispatched and other deputies responded to bolster the manpower that was already on the scene. When the suspect realized that he faced overwhelming odds, he surrendered.

The man has been booked into the jail on unspecified changes.
