Unknown gunman fires several shots at Sunset Boulevard Circle K

West Columbia, SC – Deputies from the Lexington County Sheriff's Department are actively investigating a report that someone fired shots at a convenience store and a car near the Lexington Medical Center. The alleged incident took place early Friday morning at a Shell station and Circle K store on Sunset Boulevard, not far from the hospital’s main campus and the I-26 interchange.

Witnesses reported that someone in a vehicle fired several gunshots at a car that belonged to a man that had stopped at the store. Deputies don’t believe that anyone was injured in the incident and there wasn’t any major damage to the store that would cause it to be closed.

At this time, information regarding this shooting is extremely vague. Investigators from Lexington County are asking anyone with information regarding the details of this shooting to contact the Sheriff’s Department at (803) 785-8230 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
