Man wanted in fatal Thanksgiving Day shooting arrested

Gaston, SC (Paul Kirby) – Lexington County deputies have arrested Michael Larone Williams, 28, in connection to a deadly Thanksgiving Day shooting near Gaston.

On Thanksgiving Day, Williams shot and killed Kevadric Akeem Pressley, 21, of Gaston. The shooting took place on Harmony Church Lane off Woodtrail Drive just north of the town of Gaston. Pressley was pronounced dead on the scene from a gunshot wound to the head.

Investigators with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department made the arrest quickly after their initial investigation of this shooting. They booked Williams into the county detention center where he is awaiting a bond hearing before a general session judge.

Prior to his arrest, Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon asked the public to use caution if they came into contact with Williams. Koon said that Williams should be considered armed and dangerous.
