SPD SEEKING ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING A STOLEN TRUCK AND DOG

Springdale, SC - Springdale Police Chief Kevin Cornett is asking for the community’s help in locating a truck that was stolen from 2208 C (Circle K) Airport Blvd at around 1:30 in the morning on November 29, 2016.

On Tuesday morning at around 1:30 am, the vehicle owner parked his truck with the keys still inside and went into the store for a short period of time. While inside the store, an unknown person entered the vehicle without permission and left the parking lot traveling east on Airport Blvd.

The truck is a white, Ford F-150 with four doors and was bearing SC tag EYQ792. The victim’s yellow Labrador, Sandy, was in the vehicle during the time that it was stolen along with several firearms.

Sandy, the yellow Labrador, is a very important part of the victim’s family and he hopes that someone saw something that may help locate Sandy.

Chief Kevin Cornett said, “I understand that our dogs are more than a pet for most pet owners. They are family and something like this is like having a family member taken. I hope that someone can call us with some information about this case.”

Chief Cornett asks that anyone with information about the location of Sandy or the stolen truck call the Springdale Police Department at 803-796-3160 or call CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC, text CRIMES (274637) and mark the beginning of the message with “TIPSC” followed by the tip information, or log onto www.midlandscrimestoppers.com and click the red “Submit a tip” tab.
