Lexington One swears in re-elected and new board members in a short ceremony Tuesday night

Lexington, SC – Lexington County School District One held a short ceremony in the district’s board room to install their newly elected, and one re-elected board members Tuesday evening. The room was filled with educators, administrators, students, and the families of the members who were being sworn for the occasion.

Newly elected members included Grady Harmon, Anne Marie Green, and Mike Anderson. Mrs. Cindy Smith, an incumbent, was also sworn in for another four-year term.

Immediately following the process of taking the oath of office, the meeting adjourned for a small reception. A string trio of district students entertained the crowd who gathered in the main lobby of the district office.

Guests mingled with the new board members and all seemed optimistic that the change in leadership wouldn’t in any way derail the excellent programs and facilities the district is known for.

After the reception, the board reconvened for a short orientation session for the new members.
