Springdale Police Department Seeking Identity Of Armed Robbery Suspects.

Springdale, SC - Springdale Police Chief Kevin Cornett is asking for the community’s help in identifying two men that robbed the Super 8 hotel on the night of December 28, 2016.

Officers with the Springdale Police Department responded to 650 Cherokee Ln in Springdale at approximately 9:30 pm in reference to an armed robbery that just occurred minutes prior.

Just after 9:20 pm two men entered the lobby of the Super 8 and demanded money from the cash register. The suspects are described as black males between 5 foot 6 and 5 foot 10 inches tall. The suspects then fled on foot in the direction of Airport Blvd.

Shortly before this incident Lexington County Sheriff’s Department responded to an attempted armed robbery at the C Mart on Two Notch Rd. The suspects in the armed robbery at Super 8 match the description from that attempted armed robbery.

Lexington County Sheriff’s Deputies also responded to the Super 8 to assist Springdale officers and the two agencies are working together in the investigation of the two incidents.
