Lexington County Sheriff's Department investigating multiple deaths in The Three Fountains area
Three Fountains, SC (Paul Kirby) - The Lexington County Sheriff's Department is investigating multiple deaths in the 1100 block of Old Barnwell Road in the Three Fountains area of Lexington County.
Shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday night, fire service and EMS personnel were dispatched to that location in regard to a possible gunshot wound. The scene was secured by sheriff's deputies before fire and EMS personnel were allowed to proceed into the incident location.
The Lexington County coroner's office was notified after it was determined that there were deceased individuals on the scene. At approximately 10:00 p.m., Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher confirmed that there were four victims in this case that were found dead.
According to Colby Gallagher, a spokesperson for the Lexington County Sheriff Department, they are actively searching for Jorge Luis Chavez, a Hispanic male, in connection with the multiple deaths.
No official has currently released any ages or names of the victims or if they were related to the suspect. They also have not officially released the cause of death of the four who are deceased. That is normally done by the coroner's office after autopsies are completed.
