Lexington County Sheriff’s Department on the lookout for NC runaway believed to be in our area

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is assisting NC police officers in the search for 14-year-old Macayla Wallace who is believed to have run away with another teen.

Captain Adam Myrick of the sheriff’s office said that Wallace is a white female who is approximately 5’5” tall, weighs about 140 lbs., has blond, shoulder length hair, and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a green, long sleeved shirt, purple leggings, gray boots and carrying a gray backpack.

Myrick said that she was last seen in the company of River Boyd, 15, a white male who is approximately 5’10”to 6’0”, and has a thin build. Boyd was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray pants, white shoes, and carrying a black, red, and green backpack.

Both juveniles left South Brunswick High School in a silver 2011 Honda Civic, driven by Boyd. The car’s license plate is a NC tag that reads BBY-4237.

At approximately 8:08 a.m. Tuesday, the pair left in an unknown direction of travel and unknown destination. It is thought that they might possibly be headed to South Carolina. The two juveniles are known to be in a relationship.

The photo of the silver vehicle in this article is the same make, model, and color of car that is driven by Boyd and not a photograph of the actual car.

Anyone with information regarding this pair should contact Det. McCaffity at 910-363-6555. You can also notify the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at (803) 785-8230.
