Lexington 3 Tech Up Challenge recognizes B-L Elementary Badge winners
Batesburg-Leesville, SC - The Lex3 Tech Up Challenge is a badging system designed to recognize teachers in the district for their work with technology integration in the classroom. While MANY of the teachers are definitely excelling in the instructional use of technology as a vehicle for learning, participation in the Tech Up Challenge is voluntary. Applying for badges requires teachers to share and reflect on their practice through a Google Form questionnaire and/or through various communication platforms with their peers. Badges are designed around sound instructional practices in the classroom and are not tool specific.
Teachers completing badges receive a digital badge to attach to their email signature, a matching sticker and a $5 Wiz's gift card. Various community organizations (Wiz's, Strong Body Fitness, Boutique 527, Eidson's Screen Printing, Yarborough Construction) have donated very nice prizes that will be used as a part of a random drawing for all badge recipients at the end of the year!
Teachers at all schools have been introduced to the badges over the past two months. The first round of badges were awarded at BLPS on Dec. 14.
