Kornet selected to participate in SC Elementary Honors Choir
Batesburg-Leesville, SC - Caroline Kornet, a fifth grade student at Batesburg-Leesville Elementary School, recently auditioned and was selected to be a part of the 2017 South Carolina Elementary Honors Choir.
Caroline, along with over 250 auditioned fourth, fifth and sixth graders throughout the state, came together to sing a prepared concert of difficult, but entertaining music. The Honors Choir performed for an audience of music educators and parents during the South Carolina Music Educators’ Conference in Columbia, SC on February 4, 2017.
Caroline’s parents are Phil and Julie Kornet and her grandparents are Harold and Elise Constant of Hudson, Fl, and Philip Kornet and Susan Kornet (deceased) of Greenwood.
From this experience, it is our wish that Caroline will continue to remember the power of her voice and challenge her to imagine, to consider, to right wrongs in the world and leave it a better place because of music.
Caroline‘s music teacher, Terry Samuels, also attend the conference.
