County deputies dealing with barricaded individual Monday afternoon near Gaston

Gaston, SC (Paul Kirby) – Lexington County deputies were on the scene where a man had barricaded himself in a home after he was involved in a domestic dispute Monday afternoon near Gaston. According to Captain Adam Myrick, spokesman for the department, this was happening on Manor Drive in the Forrest Manor mobile home park off Fish Hatchery Road around 2:00 p.m.

There were a number of deputies on the scene, and they had the small mobile home surrounded. Deputies with special training were also enroute to assist in negotiating with the man. Captain Kevin Howard, the commander of the South Region, was just arriving on the scene to supervise the situation.

Myrick has not said if the man has given himself up at this time. We will keep you posted if we receive additional information.
