SGES third-grader donates sweet treat to police officers

LEXINGTON, S.C. — A student from Saxe Gotha Elementary recently paid a visit to the Lexington Police Department armed with a sweet treat for the officers.
Third-Grader Caralee Nicole Boltjes donated several boxes of Girl Scout cookies to officers on duty on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Boltjes is a member of Girl Scout Troop 2228 and the daughter of SGES Teacher Haylee G. Boltjes.
Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green thanked Boltjes for her generosity by giving her a Lexington Police Department Challenge Coin.
Boltjes has sold more than 2,000 boxes of cookies. The donation to LPD is a small part of her ongoing contributions to public safety efforts on behalf of the community.
