Family of Three Displaced After Mobile Home Fire in 100 Block of Wilma Ann Drive

Lexington, SC - A family of three was displaced after a fire broke out in their mobile home in the 100 block of Wilma Ann Drive, in Lexington, at around 7 a.m.Monday morning.

Lexington County 911 dispatched Lexington County Fire Service and EMS after receiving the call for a mobile home fire. Upon arrival, firefighters observed heavy smoke coming from the single-wide mobile home.

Firefighters made entry into the home and performed an interior attack on the fire. Due to their efforts, the fire was contained to one room of the residence, while other areas of the home suffered from moderate smoke damage.

There were no injuries as a result of the fire, and Lexington County EMS personnel were on scene to perform firefighter rehabilitation operations.

The fire resulted in an estimated $20,000 in damages to the residence and contents. The American Red Cross was called in to assist the displaced family.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.
