Oak Grove, SC (Paul Kirby) Lexington County sheriff’s investigators have identified a suspect that was involved in a stabbing at the US #1 Flea Market on Wednesday afternoon. Law enforcement officers, EMT’s, and firefighters responded to the incident at the popular shopping spot after callers reported that the stabbing had occurred around 2 p.m.

According to Captain Adam Myrick, spokesman for the sheriff’s office, deputies were able to identify the suspect after interviewing witnesses that were on the scene at the time of the incident. Unfortunately, that suspect fled the scene prior to being questioned or being taken into custody by the investigators.

Myrick did not release the identity or description of the suspect. He asked that if anyone has any information regarding this crime, they call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME SC or the sheriff’s office at (803) 785-8230.
