LCSD employee's alleged murderer arrested

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) - According to a spokesman for the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, they have arrested a man in connection with a woman who was found dead in her home near South Congaree this week.

SLED agents have arrested Jason Donn Lee, 38, early this morning and charged him with murder. He is the estranged husband of the victim. Lee also was charged with burglary.

SLED was asked to investigate the case by the Sheriff's Department because Lee was a civilian employee of the LCSD.

Lexington County's coroner ruled Lindsey Nicole Lee, 31, died from sharp force trauma. Her body was found in her home on Haleywood Lane Tuesday morning.

After the announcement of Lee's arrest, Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said he was thankful for the quick resolution to the case. Koon also said via social media, "I'd like to thank State Law Enforcement Division Chief Mark Keel for his willingness to provide agents to lead the investigation into Lindsey's death."
