South Congaree, SC (Paul Kirby) – Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the motorcyclist who was killed in the single vehicle crash at the intersection of East Steel and Platt Springs Roads last week.

Fisher said that Clinton A. Fulton, 45, of Lexington, died as a result of blunt force trauma in that crash.

The SCHP, who investigated the crash, said that Fulton was riding the motorcycle alone and was attempting to stop at the intersection when he laid the bike down. He was transported from the scene to a local hospital where he died several days later.

Troopers have said that Fulton was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
