OGES showcases student leaders

LEXINGTON — Nearly 100 of South Carolina’s education leaders visited Oak Grove Elementary on Leadership Day, held March 10, to learn how the school is creating the leaders of tomorrow.

During the annual event, students shared ways they demonstrate leadership in their classroom, at home and in the community using the 7 Habits of Happy Kids from the FranklinCovey The Leader in Me™ program.

Educators shared positive feedback with OGES faculty and returned to their school districts with proven ideas and methods.

Students worked hard to prepare for the school’s leadership event and enjoyed sharing their growth with others.

OGES received Lighthouse School status from the FranklinCovey The Leader in Me™ program in 2014.
