Vehicle Theft Suspect Wanted By Lexington PD

Lexington, SC (March 23, 2017) – The Lexington Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 43 year old Timothy W. Roberts of Lexington.

At approximately 9:00 AM today, Roberts offered to “assist” an elderly 84 year old victim find her car in the parking lot of the Lexington County Administration Building. After paying her taxes, the victim was having trouble locating where she had parked her car. Roberts, who had just made a court appeance, took the victim’s keys but never returned them or her car.

After waiting, the victim notified law enforcement. Surveillance video showed Roberts enter the victims bluish/gray Toyota Corolla with SC License Plate DHI696 and flee the parking lot. He was last seen loading property into the victim’s vehicle at a property on Glasgo Lane in Lexington County.

Roberts is also wanted by this agency for failure to appear warrants on marijuana and drug paraphernalia charges.
