Police arrest woman who punched employee in the face after shoplifting

Lexington, SC - The Lexington Police Department, with the assistance of the Cayce Department of Public Safety, have arrested a women wanted for strong arm robbery and shoplifting. Brittany Lynn Johnson was wanted in connecting to an early March strong armed robbery and shoplifting incident.

According to investigators, Johnson entered the Kohls store on Sunset Boulevard and placed multiple items into a bag that she brought with her. She then left the store without paying for the items. When approached by an employee in the parking lot about the stolen items, Brittany punched the woman in the face and stole her purse being fleeing in her vehicle.

The Lexington Police Department had multiple arrest warrants out for Johnson before this incident occurred.

Johnson is booked at the Lexington County Detention Center.
