School bus involved in Friday morning wreck between Gaston and Swansea

Gaston, SC (Paul Kirby) A Lexington School District Four school bus was involved in a crash at Fallaw Road and Blackville Road as the bus ran its route Friday morning.

According to a witness on the scene, the driver of a small, green SUV hit the bus in the side at that intersection. There was some significant damage to the SUV’s front end and some damage to the bus' side as well.

Lisa Ingram, a spokesperson for District Four, said none of the children or the district’s driver was injured in the crash. Ingram said that the driver of the bus was found not to be at fault.
