GMS rallies for Special Olympics

GILBERT, S.C. — Sixty-two Gilbert Middle School students rallied at the South Carolina State House last week for an important cause.

During the 2017 Special Olympics rally on Tuesday, March 28, students, student coaches and teachers pledged to end the “R” word and replace it with the new word, “respect.”

GMS students participated in the banner design and spirit contest at the rally, celebrating this year’s theme of “Get Charged Up.”
